What to do, What to do? (279)

Hi there Pastimes members, new and old (hmm need a better word here) and soon to bes…what should we do next year for Block of the Months in 2012?

I’ve posted about this before, a few times and I had a few more suggestions come in…what do you think of this one?

A good combination of Applique and patchwork but – where’s the stitching, don’t we need stitching??

Or this one? Feel like doing another Christmas one? Creams and Reds?

We have had another Halloween suggestion – check out this post here

The Vintage Sewing Machines is so far top of the list check out this post about them

What about this music themed one? Check out the post about it here

So members that are working on one of the 5 (or more) from this year would you like some more time to complete the ones you are working on before we start a new round? What do ya think? Need more time? What if we started the new ones in Feb or March – would you be enticed to start one then? Hmmmm 🙂 Would this make it easier for you or are you good for whenever?

  1. Good morning Valerie!!!
Oh I love that first quilt pictured…so soft and gentle.
And the snowman one? I was actually just looking at that yesterday, I received a newsletter from another place and this was pictured there and I thought hmmm…wonder if Valerie could do it, because I like it.

Ok, I'm down for the first two…LOL…see how easy I am? BTW, I think February is a great start time, get me over the Christmas hurdle and finish (sooo close on my TS…I'm embroidering the last block!!!).

    What's everyone else think?

  2. I'm interested in Lynette Anderson's new dog block of the month. I think its only 4 or 6 months so a smaller project.

I might be interested in the first one if it starts a little later. Love the colours.

  3. Hi Valerie,

My skill level dictates my choices to a certain extent…not a very good appliquer but love to stitch! So even though the applique quilts are lovely, I would probably opt for a stitchery based choice….another Hallowe'en one or the vintage machines.
As a real slow poke, the later starts are probably better. Looking forward to another project though!

  4. Just love the snowman one. Would love to do this. Sure sorry I missed out on Lynette (anderson is it?) Cat one.

  5. I love, love Annie Downs quilt, but sooooo behind with the Life is beautiful quilt. I think Feb would be a good start. Liked the comment of possibly doing Lynnette's new dog BOM one as well. Decisions, decisions

  6. I'm taking a break from BOMs in 2012. I have so many projects on the go that I would love to finish and so many packaged up that I would like to start. It's time to concentrate on those I think.

Have fun to everyone one that jumps on board. There's no better place for a BOM than Valerie's place.

    Heather
