Kind Words: Rita W (248)

I received this special email from Rita W, she belonged to my Journey of a Quilter block of the month club in 2010 and has just had her quilt, quilted by a professional Long Arm Quilter, she’s super pleased and wanted to share it with me…well I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you also.

Dear Valerie, I just wanted you to see the quilt as it looks once it is quilted. I took the quilt to Creative Sisters in Kitchener to have it machine quilted. They did a great job. I am very pleased with it.

The ladies in the shop said I should put it in the Waterloo County Quilt Guild Show. They really loved it and said it had to go in the show. I have never done such a thing before and  I am a bit nervous about doing that. I am not a Quilter that likes to show her work. I just love to create and gift them or use them in my home.

I enjoyed the experience of making the Block of the Month and perhaps I can join another one, especially when it combines embroidery and piecing in the same quilt.
Thanks again for all your help. Your Newsletter and Blog are great. I wish I lived closer to you so I could visit your studio.
Have a great summer !!   Rita.

Thanks Rita for your note. It makes me feel so proud that you love the quilt as much as I do and I know a number of other ladies out there love it too. I say “go for it” put it in the show especially if you can go and see it all set up, you’ll feel great about it…then you can keep it or give it away. Not sure I’d ever part with mine since it was the first block of the month I did with my business and I LOVE it too much to part with it! I wish you could stop by my studio too sometime too bad we are on opposite sides of the country.
Valerie

Kind Words: Bev (240)

Sew after my article came out in the Quilter’s Connection Magazine (post 239, yesterday) Bev sent me these kind words…thanks sew much Bev for taking the time to write in.

I just found your website in Quilter’s Connection Magazine. Loved the article and am very curious about your site. Would like to receive your newsletter, and read your blog.  Will take my time browsing on your site and maybe do some shopping. Great to find Canadian sites and magazines. Your teas look very interesting, as I have never tried loose teas, I think it would be a nice change. Bev M.

What a nice note…I hope you’ve had a chance to check out the magazine or you can order it here

Kind Words: Tammy M (188)

Sew Tammy sent me this awesome email once she received her Journey of a Quilter kit and I just had to share it with all of you…

I got my Journey package on Friday evening.  The colors are wonderful, of course, I will add some of my own scraps to the mix!
I am already working on the embroidery and on the lookout for unusual buttons.
Thanks so much for a great kit.
Please use me as a contact if anyone is unsure about the quality of the product you send out!
Quality fabric and threads – no cheap stuff thrown in to keep the overhead down.
Love it!

Tammy.

Thanks Tammy *blush* what a nice compliment!
