Round Robin Take Three (214)

Sew for those of you who are following my Round Robin projects – here’s the latest one and my final round for Beth…I wasn’t sew sure about the blue birds at first because there wasn’t any blue in the project…so after much debate and my MIL going through my stash drawers we found the PERFECT fabrics for finishing. I already knew I wanted to repeat her (Beth’s is the center patch) half square triangles and the colours…

Sew what do you think? My round is the skinny zinger of red fabric and then the half square triangles border…I like it sew much it going to be hard to give it up 🙂

Round Robin, Take Two (202)

Here’s the second Round Robin in my group – I know I’m not supposed to share these so hopefully the person this belongs to doesn’t read my blog 😉

So this is how it came to me, center block complete by Cheryl, next round completed by Shannon and now my turn..

I added this funky border with mitered corners – what do you think? I know the fabric’s a little hard to look at lol but it sure worked out well.

Until next time, stay happy and creative…Valerie

Tip of the day: Keep a flat plastic box next to the sewing machine to corral those necessary tools together and keep them from rolling off the table 🙂 – I think this is a great idea…

Round Robin, Take One (189)

I’ve signed up for one of my Flying Needle Guild projects that’s called a Round Robin. Here’s how it works, you create your center block, then pass to the next person and they do a round, then pass to the next person and they do a round….we have 4 people in our group.

The first round is applique and here’s what I did for Shannon’s block

I would attach a picture of my first block but for some reason I didn’t get a final shot of it 🙁 so I’ll have to show you all later…

Until next time, have a happy and creative day,
