Open House is NEXT Saturday July 14th 10-4pm. Come one, come all…even to my Mom friends, stop by and say hi, and bring your little guys for a visit too!!

We will be showing off all of our Block of the Month projects as well as magazines, patterns, threads, books, cottons, silks, kits, and so much more…

Butterfly Garden, Top Complete (335)

So, I’m cheating a bit this year as normally I’d blog each month about construction of the blocks but this quilt is so darn easy with regards to the piecing, the French Knots on the other hand are in abundance and I’m kindof fond of them too!

So here’s my final ButterFly Garden…well almost, my silly hubby decided that it would finish it off with a darker scrappy border too so I’ve added that so more pictures to come. I’ve also finished the scrappy back, so no onto quilting…once I’m done with my pattern Every Bunny’s Welcome, I’ll hopefully get this layered and ready for quilting…

Doesn’t this just look FAB-O on our lawn, how suiting hey?

So I decided that I wanted it to be finished differently then Journey of a Quilter, so I added this scrappy piced border to off-set the blocks, what do you think? I love the softness of the colours I chose and how the blocks just POP, some of the butterflies even look 3D.

There is still space in this one, if you’re interested, you can sign up BOM Butterfly Garden.
