Karen C – was part of our Journey of a Quilter club in 2010 – here’s her finished quilt – looks gorgeous by the way…don’t you just love the buttons? AND how the silk shimmers, nice job Karen!

Here’s another project she wanted to share – I LOVE it!!

And just a little info about Karen, she’s part of our HocusPocus Club this year and she’s not only making a quilt for herself, she’s also making one for each of her Sisters – can you believe that!

This project belongs to Studio Inanna she was a lucky winner of some of our dupioni silks that was a prize on another blog I sponsored a while back but look at what she created – it’s so great!! Thanks for sharing Annie.

Even though she isn’t part of our Pies and Tarts group per se she is working on Pies and Tarts and I thought I would show off what’s she’s doing and her colours because they are stunning!!

This is Shelly’s work, she’s about as far along as our club minus her tart blocks. Isn’t it neat to see these created in a different colour way then ours – love it!! Thanks for sharing your pics Shelly.

Pie Anyone? (185)

This English Paper Piecing I’ve been working on for our Pies and Tarts Block of the Month has been so satisfying…I can’t honestly believe how easy it is 🙂

This is month 1, there’s 10 of these and 10 of the tarts blocks to complete…after about half I got into a rhythm and they whipped up really quickly. All pieced by hand onto these paper templates…amazing technique, look at how nice the rounded edges turned out and the points in the middle…if you haven’t tried this before, I’d recommend it!

Pies and Tarts Block of the Month (167)

Another block of the month club we will be running soon is Pies and Tarts by Sue Daley. This block of the month club is one of the ones I fell in love with (hmm I think I said that about all of them) and thought it would be a great way to master English Paper piecing and templates as well as use up some of that sash.

The collection I’m going to be using for this incredible project is Eclectic Garden  mixed with Jeval Dupioni Silks. The other goodies you’ll get in your kits are: silk pins, machine needles, acrylic and paper templates, step by step blog postings, videos and sew much more.
