So here’s to you cat lovers out there…and to my best quilting pal in the whole wide world – Tig my sweet kitty who’ll be 10 this year (how old do cats live anyway?)
Most any given day you can find her snuggle in some little slice of sun…
she’s usually up for a photo opp also 🙂
A quick post today as I’m buried in all sorts of goodies for my upcoming Travellng Quilt Store Oct 2, yes I know it seems like weeks away but hey I like to be prepared sooo I’m cutting, kits, twists and twirls (you’ll see what these look like shortly) trying to finish and plan block of the months for next year, if interested vote for the upcoming ones you would like to join in.
Also, Tig’s been active in the Studio, loving every minute of the progress around here and of course lounging every once in a while and testing out the new projects…
This is my class sampler of Kites for Kids – starting Sept 27 through Chinook College. Doesn’t she look like a little princess? I hope I get to the quilting soon, it’s pinned and ready as you can see 🙂
So, I thought I would take some cute shots of the studio, as it’s starting to feel like home, I love being down here, love the windows, and all of the inspiration around me…enjoy this sneak peak…
An old ladder I found while antiquing throughout northern USA…I’ve been looking for one for so long and this one was perfect.
I also found a couple of quilts, log cabin that is truly used and I’m sure it’s missed as well as a lone star – both are around the 30’s and 40’s.
This pic is an adorable basket my Mum bought for me which is sitting in an old pear crate and it’s full of this new silk floss collection I’ve brought in from India. These silk flosses come in 116 colours, and are so gorgeous to handle and work with…beauties.
This shelf below, has had a few displays on it so far and this is the newest one with a family of antique irons from various shops…some cuddle up with a quilt books, inspiring signage…. I love this shelf
